Recent Major and Minor Thefts [Administrative]

Yesterday…2008 Kawasaki ZZR600

As many of you might know by now, one of our very own residents had his motorcycle stolen. The crime-scene is the motorcycle parking lot right in front of Fitten.

The motorcycle must’ve been taken at some point between Monday night and Tuesday morning. If you saw anything fishy at all, PLEASE let me or Fabrizio know. We’re talking about taking a very heavy object a considerable distance (not about misplacing your wallet or keys).

And in the building next door

There has been a small wave of smaller thefts occurring in 3rd floor Montag involving iPods going MIA.

A few points on how that event affects us:

  • As you all know, we have a very strong open door policy
    • I’m sure you all see that it is essential to community building and we would like to keep it that way.
  • These events are a reminder that we need to be vigilant at all times of who we see walking around our floor and who you allow into the building behind you or as you leavwatchmen Logoe.
  • Remember that we are all Watchmen on our floor
    • If you see someone who doesn’t belong, either let one of the PLs know or investigate who this stranger is.
    • Remember what mom taught you: Stranger Danger!

However, keep up the good job building the best floor on campus. EVERYTIME I do a duty round, I count to see which floor has the most doors open and EVERY TIME 2nd Fitten has the most doors open by a large margin. Now that’s a great floor!

Open Doors help build Great Floors”

Have you SEEN this bike recently?

Did you see anything with regards to the thefts? Have you witnessed any other sketchy behavior on our floor? Do you have any hero stories of successfully thwarting attempts to steal something from a fellow Fitteneer? Comment!
