Notice- Experienced Student Tip Enclosed
Where will you go?
Whether you go back to your hometown, stay at home (with home meaning 2nd Fitten), or go somewhere special, there are many things you can do.
If you don’t already have plans for spring break, here are some ideas:
- Do nothing.
- You probably need the rest after this hectic second semester.
- Go to GT Beesball games
- Tech plays Boston College (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday) & Kennesaw State (Both away & home; Tuesday and Wednesday respectively)
- Play Tourist.
- Atlanta is an awesome town and unless you're from here, chances are you haven’t seen all that ATL has to offer.
- Hit the museums
- Atlanta has TONS of museums, probably more than any city in the south.
- Go on a road trip with your friends
- Just pick any place, any distance, as long as you can afford the gas and the hotels. It’ll be a trip to remember
- Go on a road trip with your family.
- If you do it this way, it’ll be cheaper! And besides, they probably miss you and love you a bunch.
- Look for local volunteering opportunities
- The metro area has millions of people, and many of them are looking for some extra hands. Maybe you can help.
- Check out some of the awesome events occurring in Atlanta during the break.
- Enjoy the “Great Outdoors”.
- There are plenty of parks around Atlanta to go camping/hiking at:

IMPORTANT- You probably have no idea just how much crap you’ve accumulated so far living on campus. It would behoove you to begin taking as much as possible of your stuff back home starting next week (spring break).
One Question
Is ANYONE planning on staying here? I know that I’ll (Hector) be staying here for the break. Mostly relaxing, but I’ll be doing some of the things on the list such as volunteering and going to the Beesball games. If you are staying, let me know.
